The Braeloch story.

What is Braeloch???  We hear that question all the time.  To us Braeloch is our 3rd Place.  It’s not home or work but somewhere in between. It’s the love of craft beer and enjoying this love with friends, both new and old.  Braeloch is a place where community can come for great craft beer, local food and to hang out and enjoy what life has to offer.

The actual name, Braeloch, comes from a name of a family home in the Finger Lakes - Keuka Lake.  This home came to be a gathering place for family and friends to come together for reunions, relaxing, talking and having fun.  It was a place to unwind and get away from the rest of life’s worries and the weight of the world. We strive to bring that same experience to Kennett Square.

Who are we?  Owners Kent and Amy Steeves are beer lovers from way back.  We met in college over beer, dicsussed what jobs to accept while drinking beer and ultimately decided to start our own craft brewery over a beer!  The Braeloch family is extensive.  We have our own children that do not live local but are helping from afar and we have surrounded ourselves with experts, including our Tap Room manager, a stellar brew staff of a brand new lead brewer and long time assistant brewer, a professional kitchen, beer loving servers and all the staff… most importantly our community and customers!

How did this all begin?  As home brewers, we loved to share our beer.  In fact we needed to share our beer so we could make more!  In 2017, after much searching we found our building.  Found, as in it took almost 2 years to make the building our home.  March 1, 2019 we opened our doors and have loved every minute of sharing our passion with others.
